Jesus Prays
I’m guessing that most people who identify as Christ-followers think they should pray more. Many of us feel a nagging guilt that we haven’t cultivated a deeper and more consistent life of prayer, but that guilt hasn’t brought about any significant change. Over the next weeks we will be looking at some of the Scripture passages that describe Jesus and His relationship to and practice of prayer. How did Jesus pray? What did He pray for? How did He model prayer for us? And perhaps most importantly, how has He invited the children of God into a deepening relationship with Him through prayer?

Summer in Psalms '25
The collection of Psalms in the Bible formed the backbone of the ancient Jewish “hymnbook.” Written as poetic songs, they magnify the Lord of the universe while also expressing the gamut of human emotion. The Psalms are no less relevant today than they were thousands of years ago, as they influence and inform HOW we worship God even as they reveal WHO He is and WHAT He is like. Each year we will take some weeks in the summer to learn from the Psalms, joining our hearts with the words of David as he sang, “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, bless his holy name.” (Psalm 103:1)
