The Arts Ministry began after Pastor Phil and his wife, Londa, were given the tremendous opportunity to visit the Holy Land in the summer of 1996. That ministry trip, which included Amy Grant, gave Phil the opportunity to share special music at the pipe organ. This birthed the beginning of lifting Christ through our artistic endeavors, for the glory of God.
Our artists will be visiting the Canton Art Museum twice this year and the Cleveland Museum of Art once.
The arts cabinet, located in the hallway down from the welcome desk leading to the worship center, gives opportunity for our artists to bless the congregation with their work.
On "First Friday" in Downtown Canton, Pastor Phil and Londa meet at "Carpe' Diem Coffee Shop" (215 Market Ave N) at 6:00 for coffee and a short devotional. We will then disperse in groups, mingle with other artists, to be salt and light as we connect with people during the evening. An important aspect of the meetings is that there is opportunity to pray for and encourage one another in the area where God has gifted each of the artists.
We will meet on February 1, March 1, April 5, and May 3, 2013.
