Why We Worship
God is looking for "worshipers".

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." - John 4:23-24

At First Friends we believe that worship is both a shared, corporate experience as well as a personal, daily celebration of God's love for us.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:16

Our corporate worship experience on Sunday mornings includes singing, teaching, scripture, prayer, giving, and personal stories of God's work in our lives. Worship is declaring God's "worth" and is an integral part of everything we do at First Friends.
