Christmas Giving  Opportunities

Tis the Season…

The holiday season is a time of joy for many! Spending time with friends and family, shopping, decorating your home, making cookies, caroling, and so much more. However for some people, the holidays present a whole batch of stress, difficulties, or sorrow. Here at First Friends we offer a few opportunities for you to help out your neighbors and brothers and sisters in Christ.

    Lighthouse Christmas Giving Tree

Since 1996 Canton Lighthouse Ministries has been ministering to youth and families in need. This holiday season, they are running “The Lighthouse Christmas Store.” We are asking our First Friends Family to help purchase Christmas gifts for families who are struggling to provide gifts for their children. Pick up an item tag at our Lighthouse Christmas Tree in the Worship Center Hallway. Please return the unwrapped gift(s) no later than December 5th.

    Sock and Mitten Tree

Every year we donate hats, scarves, mittens, gloves and socks to the Salvation Army to distribute to those in need during the winter months. Beginning Sunday, November 17 through December 8, place your donated items on the tree in the hallway by the library.
